Frequently Asked Questions
You can request an estimate through our Estimate page, call us, or email your project details. The best information to send is a drawing, rough measurements, countertop layout, material preference, sink type, and project address.
EstimateYes. Citi Granite offers free estimates for countertop projects. For the most accurate quote, please share photos, measurements, drawings, or a cabinet layout.
EstimateThe final price depends on the stone material, square footage, color level, slab availability, edge profile, number of cutouts, sink type, backsplash, removal, installation details, and travel distance if applicable.
PricingYes. We can usually provide a preliminary quote from photos, rough measurements, cabinet drawings, or a simple sketch. Final pricing may be adjusted after professional measurement.
QuoteYes. We often offer installed countertop packages for selected granite and quartz colors. Package availability depends on material stock, square footage, layout, and project details.
DealsYes. We help customers compare granite, quartz, marble, quartzite, and exotic stones based on style, color, durability, maintenance, budget, and daily use.
MaterialsGranite is a natural stone, so every slab has unique movement and color. Quartz is an engineered surface, usually more consistent in color and pattern, and it is generally easier to maintain.
Granite vs QuartzIt depends on your priorities. Quartz is popular for low maintenance and modern colors. Granite is popular for natural beauty, uniqueness, and classic stone character. Both are excellent countertop choices.
QuartzYes. You can visit our Chantilly showroom to review samples and discuss available stone options. For some materials, full slab viewing may be arranged through supplier locations.
ShowroomYes. We work with granite, quartz, marble, quartzite, and other stone surfaces. Marble and quartzite require careful selection and proper maintenance guidance.
Stone OptionsQuartz is highly stain resistant, but it is not completely stain proof. Wipe spills quickly, especially coffee, wine, oil, strong pigments, and harsh chemicals.
Quartz CareMost granite countertops should be sealed periodically. Some granite colors are denser than others. We can explain the sealing needs for your selected material.
Granite CareThe typical process is consultation, material selection, estimate, field measurement or template, fabrication, installation, and final review. We guide you through each step.
ProcessTiming depends on material availability, project size, measurement schedule, and fabrication workload. Many standard projects can move quickly after material selection and final measurement.
TimelineYes. For final measurement, cabinets usually need to be installed, level, secured, and ready. This helps ensure accurate countertop fit.
MeasurementYes. Sink type and dimensions affect the countertop cutout. If you are using your own sink, please have the sink model or template ready before fabrication.
SinkColor changes may be possible before fabrication begins. Once the material is ordered, cut, or fabricated, changes can create additional cost or delays.
ChangesYes, we can remove existing countertops for many projects. Disposal fees may apply depending on material type, size, project conditions, and job scope.
RemovalPlumbing is generally not included. Countertop installation may include sink mounting or cutouts depending on the quote, but faucet, drain, garbage disposal, and water line connections usually require a plumber.
PlumbingIn most cases, plumbing should be disconnected before countertop removal and installation. We can clarify this based on your exact project scope.
PreparationMany standard installations are completed in one day. Larger kitchens, multiple rooms, heavy slabs, difficult access, or special cutouts may take longer.
InstallationYes. We provide countertop services for residential and commercial projects, including offices, rental properties, retail spaces, restaurants, and multi-unit projects.
CommercialYes. Sink cutouts are part of most countertop projects. The exact cost or inclusion depends on the sink type, material, and quote details.
Sink CutoutYes. We can supply undermount sinks for many kitchen countertop projects. You may also provide your own sink if it is approved for the selected countertop material.
Undermount SinkCommon options include eased edge, pencil edge, bevel, half bullnose, full bullnose, ogee, and other decorative profiles. Standard edge options may vary by material and promotion.
EdgesYes. Faucet holes can be drilled based on your faucet model, sink layout, soap dispenser, air gap, or accessory needs. Final hole placement should be confirmed before drilling.
Faucet HolesYes. Cooktop cutouts can be fabricated when the appliance model and manufacturer specifications are provided before fabrication.
CooktopUse a soft cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, abrasive pads, oven cleaners, and strong acidic products, especially on natural stone.
CareWe recommend using trivets or hot pads. Granite is heat resistant, but sudden temperature changes can still be risky. Quartz can be damaged by high heat because of its resin content.
HeatUse a cutting board. Cutting directly on stone can dull knives and may scratch or damage the surface depending on the material.
CareWarranty terms depend on the material, manufacturer, and installation scope. Citi Granite can explain the applicable installation and product warranty details for your project.
WarrantySome projects require seams because of slab size, layout, access, or material limitations. We try to place seams thoughtfully for the best possible appearance and support.
